8/16/2016 Blue Cut Wildfire

San Bernardino County, California

Fire first reported at 1055 at approximately 2 acres, and grew to nearly 1000 acres in one hour.  Governor Jerry Brown declared “state of emergency” and mandatory evacuation was initiated for over 82,000 residents.

The 100′ temperatures, strong 40 mph SW winds contributed to the wildfire quickly growing out of control requiring more than 700 fire personal.   An estimated 105 family homes, 216 out-buildings, and 37000 acres was damaged.
